About O rings

An O-ring, also known as a packing, or a toric joint, is a mechanical gasket in the shape of a torus; it is a loop of elastomer with a disc-shaped cross-section, designed to be seated in a groove and compressed during assembly between two or more parts, creating a seal at the interface, which prevent the leakage of water, fluid, oil, air and other medium.

The O-ring may be used in static applications or dynamic applications where there is relative motion between the parts and the O-ring. Dynamic applications are such as rotating pump shafts and hydraulic cylinder pistons.

O-rings are one of the most common seals used in mechanical equipments as they are inexpensive, easy to make, reliable, and have simple mounting requirements.

An o-ring's size�is specially distinguished by inside�diameter (I.D) and cross section(C.S) or thickness.



Chose o-ring

The material or composition of an o-ring decide its property. To choose which kind of�material�should depend on its applications, such as�in high or low temperatures, chemical attacks, vibrations, abrasions, and movements�( static or dynamic). O-ring material can be Nitrile (NBR, buna-n), EPDM, Silicone, FPM, FKM, HNBR, NR, PU,CR,FLS and so on. Different material is of different property. If the material is same, the property is subject to the composition. Taking�NBR material as an example,� common�composition can tolerate temperature -20?-100?, while special composition can tolerate temperature -40?-120?.

We've achieved ISO9000/TS16949 certificates. We could produce both as custom design and AS568?DIN3771?JIS B2401?GB 245201?ISO3601 standards.
