??Dust sealing O-ring failure factors
??In the inspection and test, we found lead dust sealing O-ring failure There are three main factors:
??1. Temperature is too high. Which is mainly because the work often required for pipe end forging, the workpiece heating temperature will generally reach above 1200 ?. In the upsetting process, the workpiece again heat transfer to the mold, die and then passed to the piston, hydraulic oil finally passed, so that would make the oil temperature up to 80-120 ?. If the temperature is too high, it will bring great negative impact on the hydraulic system, such as hydraulic oil, seals aging speed, the hydraulic parts prone to jamming, causing dust sealing O-ring failure phenomenon.
??2. Heat generated oxide. Since the heating temperature is too high, the surface of the workpiece will produce oxide, in the upsetting process, the oxide and fell on the rod, it will cause damage to the dust sealing O-ring seals further strained, resulting in leakage.
??3. The high-temperature lubricant bonding. In the upsetting process, in order to reduce the resistance to upsetting, often using high-temperature lubricant and mold, but after upsetting, along with high-temperature lubricant on the scale bonded together on the piston rod, so that AD-type dust ring damage, anti- Dust seal O-ring failure, resulting in oil spills.
??From the above three factors, they are mainly from the high temperature side will cause dust sealing O-ring failure, so in the production of dust sealing O-ring should pay attention to adjust the temperature, do not let the temperature is too high lead to seal failure.
